iris game.pngGlobal Game Jam entry Iris by Damon Chandler and Saam Pahlavan is a puzzle platformer with a controllable iris, which reveals things not as they are but as the character is. Only through this special lens can players proceed and learn more about themselves.

Puzzle platformers have had a hidden/uncoverable level aspect built into them before, but one thing I liked here was the weight of the Iris as it moved around. Eyes shouldn't move as quickly as a mouse, so this felt appropriate to me. I also liked how the mechanic was used to play the game and read the story. Iris is only a few minutes long, so see what you think about it.
