thegods2a.pngThe Gods Await Me is a great example of how a roguelike system can be implemented using Stephen Lavelle's PuzzleScript. In it you play as a follower who is trying to find an altar to pray at, located somewhere on the procedural-generated map filled with deviants trying to murder you.

Killing someone is just a matter of who makes their move first. Players can only slaughter one enemy at a time, hence it's best to avoid a melee confrontation with two or more opponents if you plan to stay alive. Stone blocks can be smashed into pieces by hitting on them repeatedly, and bodies can be pushed aside whenever they're in your way.
