After working for 16 months in secret, Andrew Hume and Richard Clifford of MinMax Games announce Space Pirates and Zombies 2 is coming to Windows, Mac, and Linux with shiny new 3D graphics courtesy of the Unity3D engine. The action strategy game steps it up with competitive online multiplayer, split screen co-op, procedural modular parts to build and break ships live in battle, metagame with up to 200 AI fleets forming dynamic factions, and more. The Steam listing has Q4 2014 as the release, but the devs are saying that's merely "probable" for now.
