seastars.jpgDigital Eel, the studio responsible for such brilliant playable sci-fi things as Weird Worlds: Return to Infinite Space and Strange Adventures in Infinite Space, finally returns to its (infinite) space adventuring antics with Infinite Space III: Sea of Stars and, despite it being a rogue-like, I am happy.

More than happy actually, as the combat on offer is elegant, 3D and incredibly satisfying, the exploration part is unexpectedly good, the writing is great as always, the aliens you'll meet are brilliant and everything looks and sounds better than ever. Frankly, I even appreciated the rogue-like structure and overall randomness of Sea of Stars.

You can buy Infinite Space III: Sea of Stars for Windows and Mac on Steam or DRM-free on IndieGameStand. The soundtrack is available on bandcamp.
