I liked Odallus: The Dark Call quite a bit when I played it a few months ago. I wished there was more. Now I'm cursing myself for that wish, as the game's new, free Veteran Mode is giving me a real pounding. Joymasher have shuffled around all of the relic hiding places in this mode, so good luck finding the tools that may have helped you get through. They've also added entirely new enemies that are just out-of-control, and will rip careless players to shreds. Still, if you can somehow beat this mode, you get a special new skin for Haggis. I'm very excited to see it. I'm less excited for the damage I will cause my controller to earn it.
If you can't earn the super special skin, you can always buy yourself one of the neat new DLC skins, though. Maybe looking like Arthur from Super Ghouls N' Ghosts will soothe your broken spirit. Maybe?
Odallus: The Dark Call's Veteran Mode is available as a free update for the main game (which is available for $14.99) which you can get from the game's site, Steam, the Humble Store, and GOG. Costume DLC are $0.99 each. For more information on the game and JoyMasher, you can go to the developer's site or follow them on Facebook, YouTube, Google +, and Twitter.
