Your nameless hero in Kologeon faces a menegrie of otherwordly beasts and warriors, rending through enemies with a massive ghostly scythe and evading their incoming attacks with winged ease. Set in a mystical world of demons, spirits, and ancient beings, Kologeon puts agile combat and a wealth of other skills at your fingertips, as you explore its painterly regions and realms. It's expected to release on PC, Mac, and Linux and is currently seeking funding on Kickstarter.

Kologeon's mystical environments are divided between multiple dimensions, and traversing between them lets you view into other worlds and interact with spirits, while also granting unique combat abilities. Slowing time allows for precise attacks and dodges, inter-dimensional weaponry materialize as devastating bows and axes in your hands, and other enemies can be possessed for brief periods by leaving your physical body.

As you explore the world, you'll find fragments of dead gods to craft into items and weapon upgrades, as well as enhancing your hero's movement. Wings grant you to the ability to ascend vertical areas and deftly glide around enemies and over crumbling pathways.

While Kologeon's fast and fluid combat looks impressive, one would remiss to not mention the game's lovely pixel-art landscapes of craggy cliffs, dim forests where ancients slumber, and ruined temples.

Kologeon is slated for a late 2017 release. You can learn more about the game and developer ChillCrow through the game's site, Tumblr, and Twitter. You can also support the game on Kickstarter.
