With bamboo as its theme, game collection Bamboo EP offers an array of different experiences in one game, letting you swim through waters with frogs, slash away at enemies as a swordsman, and hurl dodgeballs at your pals in quiet forests.
Bamboo EP comes from Sokpop Collective, a group of artists who all working to create their own games, in this case using the theme of bamboo. Each game is filled with bamboo forests and lakes filled with stray bamboo shoots, having the players try out various play styles while surrounded by their natural, pixellated beauty.
Each game is fleshed out, offering multiple maps and seasons in multiplayer dodgeball game Bamboo Ball, six characters and unlockable skills as players seek out their heart in sidescrolling swordplay game Bamboo Heart, and watery worlds filled with wildlife in its interactive title screen. It's a unique array, so if you're willing to just be carried along on the whims of several artists creating different things, it's well worth giving a try.
