Simple family outings seem to get a bit out of hand in Guts and Glory, a game where ordinary families find themselves trying to navigate fields filled with death traps and inattentive pedestrians. That father/son bike ride you were planning on taking just got a little bit more lethal.

Players will take out their family of choice in one of a handful of vehicles, taking them through gauntlets of buzz saws, spikes, explosives, turrets, and all kinds of other devices that will wreck that peaceful Sunday drive. All players have to do is avoid them all, without getting blown away in a ridiculous display of ragdoll physics and severed limbs, and make it to the finish line.

Guts and Glory's Early Access release also comes with a level editor so players can make their own lethal tracks for their friends to die inside of. You can also make suggestions to the dev team at Hakjak as they continue to work on it, helping this game become even more outlandish than it already is.

Suddenly, family outings don't seem so dull any more.

Guts and Glory is available for $9.99 on Steam Early Access. For more information on the game and developer Hakjak Productions, you can head to the game's site, the developer's site, or follow them on Facebook, YouTube, and Twitter.
