Back from a short break, here are 10 lovely new trailers to feast your eyes on!
AWAY: Journey to the Unexpected
Windows, Nintendo Switch, PS4, Xbox One | $TBA | 2017
Capturing the feeling of 90s anime shows, this colorful first person adventure game combines action, negotiation and rogue-lite elements. Oh, and there's a toilet frog. A toilet frog!
A coffee-break sized turn-based shmup for people who are bad at shmups? Bullet hell meets Necrodancer? Why yes, you should probably get this greenlit as soon as possible.
Windows | $17.99 | March 8, 2017
12-player submarine MOBA Subsiege is almost ready to emerge into Steam's early access. Its rather aggressive "get yourself some oxygen or drown" approach could lead to some fast-paced battles and rather intense matches.
PC & Consoles | $TBA | 2017
This co-op arcade shooter features some rather lovely pixels and has you hunting violent street gangs in a futuristic setting. Oh, and the tagline "make a healthy living - by making living unhealthy" is so very bad, it's good.
Nowhere Prophet is a post-apocalyptic single-player card game with permadeath. While this might sound like a lot of random stuff thrown together, it actually looks and plays really well. So go and give the trailer a peek and the Greenlight campaign a thumbs up, will you?
Windows, PS4, Xbox One | $9.99 | Now available
Doing that Rogue Legacy thing where every death nets you some resources to upgrade your character with, Badass Hero just entered Early Access to infuse some extra polish into an already compelling formula. However, its roguelite action platformer schtick is already worth a look.
From developer Roger Barr: "GRAVE CHASE is a retro-inspired 2D horror action-adventure game in which a brother & sister must survive the month of October in the deadly graveyard of a ghoulish groundskeeper." ...and it's only waiting to be greenlit, so go and do the thing.
Nintendo Switch, PC, consoles, mobile | $TBA | 2017
From developer Long Hat House: "In this bizarre, gravity-bending world with hidden beauty, it's up to Dandara, jumping from surface to surface, to restore order and direct a directionless world."
Freaky Awesome is a fast-paced co-op game in which you constantly mutate into different creatures by getting infected from the remains of killed monsters. Sounds nasty!
Windows, PS4 | $14.99 | Now available
Well, this looks delightfully weird and strangely adorable. This roguelike features a retro sci-fi aesthetic, collectible card game elements, and "steal or share" multiplayer all mixed with British humor. And hey, the baddies can loot you! The cards they steal drop into other players' games. That's... kind of amazing, really.
