Colorfiction's 0°N 0°W leads you from the safety of normal, everyday life into some weird, barely defined half-world full of strange shapes and sounds. Find the exit from one of these places and you'll end up in the next one. It is an endless cycle which at times feels oddly profound - and sometimes just odd.

The atmosphere in these setpieces oscillates between peaceful and foreboding and the sheer variety of (apparently handcrafted) settings will keep you on your toes. You're supposed to explore them, make them yours, fill them with meaning.

That being said, most of 0°N 0°W left me absolutely clueless. It's an endless sensory overload, an onslaught of undefined, yet intriguing, visual and auditory stimuli. Words cannot quite capture all the things going on inside the game your head.

It might lack anything even remotely implying a definitive meaning - but maybe that's why it has such an uncanny staying power. Some of these images linger on, as if I could just close my eyes and go back to these non-places.

You can purchase 0°N 0°W from Steam for $9.99. For more information, visit the game's website or follow developer Colorfiction on Twitter.
