Featuring lectures, postmortems and roundtables from some of the most notable independent game creators around, the Independent Games Summit is a yearly event, with iterations thus far taking place in March 2007, February 2008, March 2009 and March 2010 at Game Developers Conference.

UBM TechWeb (which curates the IGF and runs GDC) plans to continue and grow the Independent Games Summit in subsequent years.

4. Streets of Rage Remake

Streets of Rage Remake is a remake of the Sega Mega Drive classic, featuring a roster of eight playable characters spanning the entire series. The game allows player to choose a partner controlled by the CPU if they can't get hold of a friend to join the mayhem.

All character moves have been retained with several new additions, and many of the stages have been recreated for this updated version as well. Fans of the original won't be disappointed with this effort.
