11. Tower of Heaven

Askiisoft's Tower of Heaven is a wonderful platformer which will have you tearing large chunks of hair - nay, SKIN - from your cranium. Your task is to ascend said tower, but a mysterious power which resides at the top is doing everything it can to make sure you don't succeed. The introduction of the 'Book of Laws' early on ramps the difficulty up tenfold. Oh, and there's a time limit too.

Special mention should go to Flashy Goodness, whose provided soundtrack is simply amazing. It really gels well with the general feel of the entire experience. Prepare to shout OH COME ON many, many times.

"I hope Tower of Heaven hasn't lost you too much hair - it's only our first game! Believe it or not, during development, we actually threw out over five additional rules and several levels that, while hilarious, would have made the game far too cryptic - things like 'thou may jump, but may not fall'. Our testers certainly helped us gauge that, but it also cut down the length of our game considerably - which I feel isn't a bad thing at all. Compacting the game allowed us to brush up our existing levels and brush up our presentation, exchanging quantity for quality. As with future projects, I hope askiisoft will become known for producing a variety of high-quality games, very, very slowly." - Dave Zhang
